The past last few weeks have been rough for the National Football League and it’s commissioner Rodger Goodell. A few of it’s outstanding athletes have been charged with Physical Abuse and have been suspended by the league. These players include the Minnesota Viking’s running back Adrian Peterson, the Baltimore Raven’s running back Ray Rice, and the South Carolina Panther’s defensive end Steve Smith. Each will let their cases play out in court before serving their suspension. These events have many questioning why there are so many accounts of physical abuse in pro football and not nearly as many in the other major professional sports. The NFL currently has an ongoing investigation to answer anything surrounding these events. However, the league will not go public with it’s findings until after the Super Bowl in February. The NFL hopes that everything can be resolved and the attention shifts back to the football games.
