All Saints’Baseball Spotlight

Baseball is underway at All Saints’ and the season is already off to a great start. The Varsity Baseball team has already played in three scrimmages going 2-1. The Saints have gone 4-3 in the opening 7 non-district games this season.

Varsity played in the Prestonwood Christian Opening Tournament in Plano, splitting the tournament games 2-2, the team was pleased by the way they competed.

The Saints had a barely winning record last year, going 5-4 in district games, making the SPC tournament. “I think with only losing one senior,” said Jordan Cisco ’17, “we came together as a team so much better and are playing a lot better than last year.”

In the Prestonwood tournament, All Saints’ defeated Grapevine Faith 3-4, which sent the Saints into Friday with high hopes. The first game Friday was against Brownwood, a 3A public school, and All Saints’ demolished the Lions 10-0 with Will Knight ’17 throwing a complete game no-hitter. All Saints’ lost the next two games against Midland Christian 2-1 and Prestonwood, in the semi-finals, 8-1.
