B-7, I-19, O-68. Last Friday night, All Saints’ families weren’t practicing counting and their ABC’s, but playing bingo! The Martin Gymnasium was abounding with teachers and families who all came out to support this PTO fundraiser. Besides playing the fast-paced game, families enjoyed a hamburger dinner and were able to buy raffle tickets for diverse and exciting prizes including boots, gift baskets, and Vera Bradley gear.
Middle school principal, Mike (Gonzo) Gonzalez was the announcer for the annual event. He described why he loves bingo night saying it “brings a sense of community to the school.” His favorite part of the night was when a five-year old boy and girl won bingo. “Their joy and cheer made me so happy,” he said.
Grace Yater, a third grader at All Saints’ most enjoyed “playing with her friends and seeing everyone playing fairly.” Many of the children greatly enjoyed the Hot Chocolate Bar…not a surprise!
These events could not happen without the sustained support of our parents. Blair Martin, mother of William (kindergarten) and Ellie (6th grade) volunteered because she wanted to “do something that the whole family would be able to attend. It’s a great family night.”
Overall, bingo night was a ball! Make sure you join All Saints’ families next year for this terrific fundraiser.
