The 8th grade science and math classes in the middle school have joined forces to launch bottle rockets. The construction has been fast and furious…and messy and chaotic…and…. Oh well, anyway, launch has been delayed several times due to inclement weather. (What is going on with this weather??) Hopefully the sky is the limit this week and rockets will fly, altitudes will be measured. and TRIGONOMETRY will be performed to calculate achievements. The geometry class built the launcher, with alterations being made to improve NASA’s plans. (Maybe we do have some rocket scientists in our midst.) Also, start looking out for bluebonnets, reseeded in the fall by the NJHS. Rainfall has been scarce, and ice has been abundant, but we hope for a good showing. The nasty yellow weed is still trying to take over but perhaps we will see our fields of blue soon.
