This past week the upper school fine arts students traveled to New York City to see incredible shows, shops, restaurants, and art. The first day we toured Radio City Music Hall and met a rockette from the “Christmas Spectacular.” Then we had free time to shop around and grab a bite to eat. We all met up at the MoMa to look at the huge collection of modern art. After dinner we headed down to Broadway where we saw “Its Only a Play.” The next morning we had a scavenger hunt at the Metropolitan then walked to the Guggenheim, which is a museum with not only great art, but architecture as well. After dinner, we saw my personal favorite play, “A Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder.” After the play many of the students ran into a few Broadway stars including Bradley Cooper and Ronald Bilius (Ron Weasly) on the way to the pizza party. Saturday morning we saw the incredible 9/11 Memorial and afterwards walked over Brooklyn Bridge and went ice-skating in Rockefeller Center. The last day we visited St. John the Divine and walked around Central Park, then sadly headed back to the airport.
