The Spring Sports Season is in full swing and we have a lot of SPC Conference games scheduled for this week. We’d like to use this platform as a way to recognize our Varsity Sports and include important game times and dates so the All Saints’ Community can get out and support the various teams.
Today our Varsity Baseball, Softball, and Tennis teams will travel to Dallas to take on ESD in SPC Counter games. Tennis will get started at 4:30pm, and Baseball and Softball will both play at 5:00pm.
On Friday, All Saints’ will welcome Tulsa (OK) Holland Hall to Fort Worth for a series of games. Varsity Men’s and Women’s Tennis will begin their matches at 4:30pm at the Gray Tennis Center, and Softball will play on the Varsity Softball Field, also at 4:30pm. Varsity Baseball will begin at 5:00pm at Corbett Field.
On Saturday, All Saints’ will host Oklahoma City (OK) Casady with all games/matches for Tennis, Softball and Baseball beginning at 1:00pm.
Our Varsity Men’s and Women’s Golf teams participated in the Southwest Christian Golf Tournament on Monday, March 24, which was held at Mira Vista Golf Course. They will compete again next Monday, March 31, at the Fort Worth Country Day Golf Invitational at Rivercrest Country Club beginning at 8:30am.
In addition, Varsity Track & Field will be competing in two meets this week. All Saints’ has 10 student-athletes that have qualified for the 2014 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The meet is being held in Austin, Texas, and will take place Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. High School events will begin on Thursday night and carry over into Friday and Saturday. Student-athletes that have qualified include: Kendall Adams (Sr.), Blaze Moorhead (Sr.), Daniel Gresham (Sr.), Brandon Johnson (Sr.), Henry Butz (Sr.), Campbell Hillard (Jr.), Grayson Borchardt (Jr.), Logan Cowan (Soph.), Turner Corbett (Soph.), and Isaiah Harris (Soph.). The Athletic Department is very proud of these students and wish them well throughout the weekend.
For those Track & Field athletes not traveling to Austin, they will be competing in the Mark Collins Invitational being held at Trinity Valley School on Friday, March 28, at 4:30pm. The Track & Field team has already won two overall meets this season, which is the most in School history for the Track & Field program in one season. We wish them the best of luck at this upcoming meet and know they will perform well.
As always, we encourage everyone in the All Saints’ Community to get out and support our various teams at their games, as your continued support is very much appreciated by all student-athletes. Be Early, Be Loud, Stay Late, and Go Saints!
