Weekly Blog from the Athletic Department

Less than two weeks remain on the Fall Sports Calendar and each team continues to drive towards the end of their respective regular seasons. A quick recap on each team’s remaining weeks:

The football team concluded its regular season this past Friday, October 25th, defeating Cistercian Preparatory School 42-6. The win capped-off an undefeated regular-season and marked the 20th consecutive victory for the Varsity Football Team. This week, they’ll take on Houston St. John’s in the semi-final round of the playoffs. The game will be played here at All Saints’ McNair Stadium at 4:00pm.

The All Saints’ Volleyball team has secured the number one seed in the upcoming Fall SPC Tournament and will play its final two regular-season games this week. On Tuesday, the team will take on SPC rival Greenhill, and on Wednesday they will end their season with a match against Dallas Ursuline Academy. Both games will be played here at All Saints’ in the Varsity Gymnasium at 6:00pm.

The Varsity Field Hockey team will be traveling to Houston this week to take on the three Houston schools, St. John’s, Kincaid, and Houston Episcopal. The team will leave on Thursday to take on St. John’s at 5:00pm, and will play two games on Friday, November 1st, against Kincaid and EHS. Those games are scheduled to take place at 8:30am and 4:00pm, respectively.

Finally, the All Saints’ Cross Country team continues to train for the upcoming SPC Meet. The meet will be held at Fort Worth Trinity Valley School on the morning of Saturday, November 9th.  All four teams are poised to do well in their respective SPC Championship Tournaments and Playoff Games, and we in the athletic department hope that everyone can attend the various games/meets and support these student-athletes as they compete for, and represent, the entire All Saints’ Community.
