With the Fall Sports season well underway and a few weeks of school under the student-athletes’ belts, the rigorous demands of academics and responsibility towards one’s team are in full effect. With that being said, let’s preview the upcoming All Saints’ Athletics Events:
On Thursday, September 18, 2014, All Saints’ Field Hockey travels to rival Fort Worth Country Day for Varsity and JV matches. Those games will be played at 4:30pm and 5:45pm, respectively. They will take the field again next Tuesday, September 23, in Dallas against Hockaday School and again on Friday, September 26, at 5:45pm against (Houston) St. John’s High School. The game on Friday will be played at Fort Worth Country Day.
Volleyball is having a successful and productive season on both JV and Varsity levels. Volleyball will take to the court Thursday, September 18, 2014, against THESA with games at 4:30pm, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm. Next week, they will again play on Thursday, September 25, with a match at Fort Worth Country Day at 5:30pm.
Cross Country is working hard with practices beginning at 6:15am each day and they have performed will in each of their meets, posting new personal bests among a number of the Varsity runners. Their next meet is Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 8:00am at Benbrook Lake. The following Saturday, September 27, they will participate in the Weatherford Christian School Invitational.
All Saints’ Football had an exciting week last week, with the JV team beating Southlake Carroll, 13-12, and the Varsity team winning in their home opener against Greenhill School, 51-6. This week, the JV team will travel to Sanger High School to play at 5:00pm on Thursday, September 18, and the Varsity team will travel to St. Mark’s School of Texas in Dallas for their game at 7:00pm. Next week, both teams will play against Fort Worth Country Day – JV will play at 5:30pm away at FWCD while Varsity will host the Falcons on Friday, September 26, at 7:00pm here at All Saints’ McNair Stadium.
We encourage all students, parents, faculty, and staff to come out and support each team as they continue through their season. Be Early. Be Loud. Stay Late.
