As of last week, my family has had the amazing opportunity to host an exchange student from Australia. For the next six weeks, Annabelle Mackey will be joining the Chambers family. I will admit I was a bit nervous to meet her because I had no idea what she would be like, but I can definitely take a deep breath now after getting to know her. She’s just like me! We have already clicked and are having a great time together. It’s so fun hearing her accent (even though she laughs at ours because we are the ones who talk funny) and learning all about her life in Australia. While in America, she follows me to all of my classes and will begin working on projects in her classes soon. It has already been such a fun experience for the both of us, and I am looking forward to spending more time with her and teaching her about my life in America.
