The Winter Sports Season has absolutely flown by. Student-athletes are busy managing their rigorous course loads while staying attentive and committed to their respective teams as they enter the crux of their schedule, their SPC conference games, all of which count towards tournament seeding.
All Saints’ offers a variety of athletic opportunities in the winter: Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, and Wrestling. The Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams take on Greenhill tonight, January 17th, at 6:00pm and 7:30pm, respectively. Both are anticipated to be close contests with SPC Tournament seeding on the line. The Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams also travel to Greenhill tonight and will play at 5:00pm and 7:00pm. Both teams are fighting for final spots in the Division I tournament and these games will go a long way in determining in which division they will play.
Men’s and Women’s Swimming has wrapped up their regular-season events and is focused on improving personal times in preparation for the SPC Championships in Houston. Finally, Men’s Wrestling competed against SPC Rival Arlington Oakridge this week and won convincingly. Led by Seniors Cannon Maki, Griffin Lydahl, and Lee Siratt, the team is in prime position to perform well in the upcoming matches and win individual SPC and State Titles. We hope the All Saints’ community will support these teams in their pursuit of Winter SPC Championships.
