Weekly Blog from the Athletic Department

It’s amazing to think that there are only four weeks left in the Fall Sports Season.  Two-and-a-half months have passed since the beginning of off-season training and already we’re looking towards the SPC Championships. Teams have endured plenty of highs and lows, and the grind of each respective season, which at times can seem eternal, has passed. Only one goal is in focus now for each team and that is to compete to the best of their ability and win a Southern Preparatory Conference Championship.

A breakdown from each team: Field Hockey is approaching the end of its season battling for a spot in Division I in the Fall SPC Tournament taking place in early November; Football has two regular-season games remaining on its schedule and then begins preparations for the playoffs with hopes of hosting the first-round game here at All Saints’ McNair Stadium; Cross Country has improved steadily over the last three months while competing against tough, public- and private-school competition with multiple runners breaking personal records; and Volleyball, with a record of 25-4, is looking like a true contender and hopes to end this season with the school’s first SPC Volleyball Championship.

Both coaches and athletes are working hard to maintain their high levels of play, preparation, and intensity throughout these last four weeks. With that being said, the All Saints’ Community should acknowledge and compliment these student-athletes on their abilities to manage their academic rigors as well as their athletic responsibilities in a manner that has them not only staying afloat, but succeeding in those various arenas. Support the Saints as they continue to represent this Community in a way of which we can all be proud.
